Best Travel Memory: A study abroad trip to Italy. First of all, study abroad is amazing because you learn so much more about the place then you can as a typical traveler, but one memory that sticks out was a trip to Switzerland. I was with a group of 5 students and we decided to walk from the train station to our hotel. It ended up being a 2 hour walk
up a mountain. We totally got lost along the way, but it was one of the best things to be in a new place forced to figure out the unknown with a group of new friends. A great learning experience I hope to take with me to Africa.
Someone Who Inspires You (and Why!): Christina Zerfas <3 - I always think I am doing the best I can, but then I met Christina who always goes above and beyond. She pushes me to want to experience more and do more. I would have never thought of this fundraiser without her! She inspires me to want to see the world, but to also know the culture and people on a deeper level than I normally strive for.
Why You Want to Climb: I want to experience Africa as a non-tourist and leave it better than when I arrived. This trip will allow me to do that and MORE!
