Remote Followers CAN Contribute!

Long distance collecting CAN be possible! To all of our followers not in Indianapolis I am here to tell you, you can still participate in collecting cans for the C4K team. I have been traveling outside of Indianapolis for the past 3 weeks and already raised $10. That’s 500 cans!

My trip started in Maryland with all my extended family. They have been collecting for me over the past few months and while in town I helped them take it to the recycle center. It’s amazing how I have always found a recycle center where I needed one, which means we can find one in your location if you need and would like to contribute.

The best part about my collection in Maryland were the random items my Aunt offered to donate! A leaf blower and grates…of course, my dad, the unbeliever, never thought we would get money for it. However, we did! The collection center never even hesitated. So next time you throw something away, think about how recycling could help C4K and the environment at the same time!

After Maryland my next stop was South Carolina, which is where my parents live. Here my mom has been collecting cans from the hospital she works at. She gets 1 bag a week, but over the last

3 months, it’s been over $20 -> 1,000 cans! I have loved watching this effort grow, but most importantly how the C4K team is helping change habits of recycling and cherishing our environment! I certainly have seen the awareness grown in my family. My mom has even opened her front porch for neighbors to drop off cans. I am excited to see how this can spread in her corner of South Carolina!

All of this is to say you can do it too!! Our team is willing to help you contribute in any way possible and share any tools that you need to be successful. Don’t say you can’t because you aren’t in Indianapolis. Say you CAN because it’s the global impact that will make the difference!
